Corab and ArcelorMittal put a decade of performance to the test with Magnelis®
For solar energy infrastructure, long-term reliability is crucial. Mounting structures must endure changing weather conditions, moisture, and environmental exposure throughout the lifetime of a photovoltaic installation. A 10-year-old solar installation has become the latest proof point in the long-standing partnership between Corab and ArcelorMittal. In this video, the companies revisit one of Corab's photovoltaic structures built using ArcelorMittal's Magnelis® coated steel and assess how it has performed after a decade in service.
A great example of real-life performance validation
Corab and ArcelorMittal recovered poles coated with Magnelis® and assessed the condition of the steel after almost 10 years in the ground. After the years of exposure to real operating conditions, the structure continues to demonstrate the durability and corrosion resistance that have made Magnelis® a preferred solution for demanding outdoor applications.
The results?
- No red rust
- No perforations
- Magnelis® coating remains active on the surface
Or, to put it in Corab's words, "reliability is not a promise, but the result of informed design and quality decisions."
This demonstrates the value of monitoring long-term performance in real-life conditions and highlights the enduring partnership between Corab and ArcelorMittal.
Watch the video and discover how Magnelis® is helping solar structures stand the test of time.
