Case study

La Marseillaise: An office building draped in the French flag

La Marseillaise is the 135-metre high-rise building in Marseille designed by Jean Novel that boldly rises up wearing the French flag. With a concrete core and a full steel structure, this office building is an excellent example of steel-concrete composite construction. Optimised Cofraplus® 60 composite floor decking from ArcelorMittal was chosen as the sole flooring solution.

Cofraplus®: Open-rib composite floor decks

Cofraplus® composite flooring acts as a horizontal wind brace contributing to the overall stability of a building. Benefit from savings in weight, time, and cost in addition to fire resistance and the option of pre painted steel. Thanks to its composite properties, this is a great solution for irregular shapes, curves, or special openings.
