Appearing to float effortlessly 107 metres into the sky of The Hague is the new European Patent Office. This landmark building with bold, contemporary architecture and a modern, sustainable infrastructure was constructed with HISTAR® high strength steel sections from ArcelorMittal.

DIBt technical approval enables SCHRAG to make full use of Magnelis®

The Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik has granted Magnelis® a Technical National Approval, recognising that Magnelis® resists corrosion for more than 15 years and allowing it to be specified for construction applications in Germany and markets that rely on DIBt standards. For SCHRAG, this means that Magnelis® can be utilised with confidence in the company’s thin-walled cold-formed components.

New EDI Light capabilities allow late specifications of colours and coatings

ArcelorMittal has added the ability to specify the coating and colour of a product late in the order process electronically. Inter-Max, a customer using ArcelorMittal’s EDI Light service, now has full transparency over their orders and can respond quickly and efficiently to demands from their own customers.
