Welcome to our March newsletter!
Are you in Leipzig? Be sure to admire the unique cladding on the facade of the long-distance coach station that blends the building into its urban environment. ArcelorMittal steel was used for the facade, structure, and flooring. Discover more about this building in our newest case study. This month, we also highlight our products and solutions for flooring and steel in construction.
Our featured products this month include two that were used in the Leipzig Coach Station. The first is ArcelorMittal’s Cofraplus® 220 additive flooring system. These composite floor profiles enable spans of up to 9 metres and are quick to assemble due to their low weight – a great choice for new buildings or renovations. The second is our hot rolled steel sections, which are available in a wide range of steel grades for specific required performances such as elevated service temperatures or improved weldability. The 2021 sales programme for our range of sections (and merchant bars) is available for download.
Also in this issue: a well-deserved award for the Royal Dutch Mint building, biogenic energy comes to ArcelorMittal Rodange as we continue to reduce the carbon footprint of the steelmaking process, Magnelis® increases solar farm longevity in Eastern Europe, and the updated version of the Rail Tool App awaits you.
Finally, we say thank you to ArcelorMittal Europe’s Patrick Le Pense as he passes his METALS FOR BUILDINGS’ Presidency on, and we introduce you to one of our partners - Ateliers 3S - who create remarkable cladding with our organic coated steel.
Enjoy!
