Inspiring Steel - Summer 2021

Welcome to our summer newsletter!

In this edition, our newest case study presents a modern office building in Ghent, Belgium. The INDI building was designed using the Steligence® approach and built with a variety of ArcelorMittal steel solutions. Among them are Angelina® cellular beams for large spans and the new Granite® HDXtreme prepainted steel – this month’s feature product. We have a selection of Granite® HDXtreme samples available that you can order through our help centre, and if you missed it, you can also watch the webinar introducing you to ArcelorMittal’s latest generation of organic coated steels for very corrosive environments.

ArcelorMittal Construction has launched a new composite flooring solution - Cofraplus® 80. Find out how Cofraplus® 80 enables substantial savings in weight and cost while ensuring more sustainable construction.

ArcelorMittal is involved in two major clean energy projects in Europe. Its specialty steel cables secure the wind turbines of the Hywind Tampen floating wind farm in Norway, and its steel fibres reinforce the shotcrete used for the construction of the underground galleries of the Tâmega River hydroelectric project in Portugal.

Also in this issue: Don't miss the updated versions of the Trusses+ and ACB+ pre-design tools, read more about ArcelorMittal's first investment through its XCarb™ innovation fund, check out one of the world’s most modern and efficient blast furnaces in Ghent, meet ArcelorMittal partner Meko Metal who manufacture special profiles with Magnelis®, and peruse products and solutions for long span structures and office buildings.

Wishing you a wonderful summer,

The Constructalia team
