Flooding issues and a breach of the previous defences resulted in the construction of the Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls flood defence scheme. The Shoreham Adur Tidal Walls flood defence scheme was implemented in Shoreham-by-Sea, situated on the River Adur estuary in England. ArcelorMittal U and Z sheet piles and a combined wall were utilised in this project to protect residential and business properties in addition to preserving flora and fauna.

William Roobrouck’s ‘Proud’ sculpture with Indaten® weathering steel from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products has been installed in the Belgian seaside town of Knokke-Heist. Indaten® is one of Roobrouck’s favourite materials thanks to its beautiful patina that protects the steel from corrosion.
