Belki ażurowe ACB® wytwarzane są wyłącznie z profili walcowanych na gorąco. Podwójne wycięcia wykonuje się za pomocą palnika gazowego. Powstałe dwa profile teowe są przesuwane względem siebie i ponownie spawane, zwiększając tym samym wysokość gotowej belki.
Poprzez zwiększenie wysokości, uzyskujemy zwiększenie momentu bezwładności bez konieczności podniesienia masy elementu. Dla wybranego profilu bazowego istnieje niezliczona ilość możliwych kombinacji wielkości otwórów oraz ich rozstawu, co jest niezwykle przydatne w przypadku istnienia określonych wymagań projektowych.
